Weight Loss Surgery
The most commonly performed weight loss procedure in Australia. About 80% of the stomach is removed laparoscopically, leaving a slim sleeve-shaped stomach.
A combined restrictive and metabolic procedure — particularly effective for patients with severe reflux, type 2 diabetes or higher BMI.
Safe removal of an existing lap-band, with the option of single-stage conversion to a sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass where clinically appropriate.

General Surgery

Anti-Obesity Medications
Where appropriate, Dr Hatzifotis prescribes and supervises medical weight loss therapy. Expected weight loss is approximately 5–20% of total body weight in the first 12–18 months, depending on the medication and lifestyle support.
